SMT standoffs are surface-mount fasteners that are reflow-soldered directly onto a PCB, typically supplied on tape and reel for automated pick-and-place assembly — eliminating the manual insertion steps required by traditional press-in or swage-type standoffs.

Alink offers various styles of SMT standoffs (SMT fasteners, SMT nuts) and SMT spacers for PCB, extensively applied in ultra-slim electronic products to give design engineers greater flexibility in their layouts.

Over the past three years, we have developed several types of SMT nuts and standoffs. Because our new prototypes are produced using drilling technology rather than tooling, custom designs can be made quickly, flexibly, and easily.
